With an unusual approach to advertising and innovative promotions we were rapidly seen as a market leader in the Treasure Hunting Trade. During 1996 we occupied two units and expanded into Guitars, which have always been Dereks other major interest since he started playing in 1960. It was decided to make a serious investment so that the instruments on offer would be comprehensive and unmatched locally. A move to larger premises at the centre made the display over 300 guitars possible. In October 2002 the Metal Detector department was closed and added even more display space and total focus on the guitar business. In Autumn 2005 the Peach Team welcomed back John Priest who had previously worked with us since he left school. John had left to take up a post with Westside Distribution who are the UK Importer for Mesa Boogie, Martin, Godin, AER, etc. as Product Specialist Demonstrator and Area Sales Manager. After two years travelling the Country, providing product training for both shop staff and the public at exhibitions his knowledge is second to none. John was known for his love of SRV and Fender Instruments and is a mine of information on all things guitar related. In April 2006 John become a partner in the Peach Guitar business, allowing the old guy Peachey to take time out to relax (maybe relapse) and play guitar more. But as of 1st of August 2006 John Priest is now the owner of Peach Guitars with Derek moving into retirement, watch out for a fresher updated approach to trading and more frequently updated website!
